He noted that the new program was delivered under Digital Kazakhstan and would allow to evaluate the possibility of implementing certain ideas created during the internship.

"The President said that in order for the country to be competitive it’s no longer enough to have mineral resources, the state should stay ahead, especially in the field of digital technologies. We, as Samruk-Kazyna group of companies, are interested in the development of digital technologies," Alisher Pirmetov has commented.

It should be noted that Samruk-Kazyna group of companies launched the Digital Summer 2018 internship program on June 6, 2018. During the training program interns will receive invaluable experience and knowledge that will give undoubted advantage in the competitive and dynamic IT world, as well as practical experience with SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, HP, IBM, Huawei.

The applications submission took place from June 6 to June 30. The internship will be held between July 9 to September 7, 2018 in Astana, Almaty, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Pavlodar, Atyrau.

2016, 2017 and 2018 graduates could apply for the Digital Summer 2018 program on the official website of Samruk-Kazyna JSC www.sk.kz. An important criterion is an interest in IT and a desire to contribute to the IT development in the Fund companies.

To participate in the internship is not necessarily to have professional experience. Basic knowledge in the field of project management, programming, administration of information systems and infrastructure, application architecture, information security principles are required. The internship is unpaid and does not include living and transport expenses.

During three weeksof selection, the internship programhas generated a great interest. The number of applicants has reached 2100, 500 of them have passed testing on the basic knowledge of IT and 72 young specialists to beinvited for an internship.

The best 33 interns will be employed in the following companies: Samruk-Kazyna JSC, NC KazMunayGas JSC, NAC Kazatomprom JSC, NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC, Kazpost JSC, JSC Samruk-Energy, Kazakhtelecom JSC, Tau-Ken Samruk JSC, KOREM JSC, Qazaq Air JSC, Energoinform JSC, Samruk-Kazyna Contract LLP and United Chemical Company LLP.
