How will social and labor relations on the whole planet change in the coming decades? To answer this question, experts from different countries gathered at the 18th International Labour and Employment relations association (ILERA) World Congress in Seoul.

High honor to represent Kazakhstan on the main platform in the field of Industrial relations fell to the head of the Center for Social Communication and Communication Erbol Ismailov and Sandugash Iskandirova.

"This year ILERA Congress brought together nearly 2,000 participants from 67 countries. Experts not only reveal the most important trends in the sphere, but also formulate recommendations for the International Labor Organization (ILO), and therefore for the whole world," - Erbol Ismailov said.

There are 4 megatrends named on the ILERA stage: the development of human capital, the introduction of new technologies, globalization and climate change.

"The peculiarity of the Congress is precisely in the close intertwining of science and business. We were pleased to learn that studies like the Social Stability Index, which CSCC makes for Kazakh companies, are conducted in the best scientific centers of the planet.

Cardiff University makes an examination for British businessmen and MIT Sloan School of Business does the same for American entrepreneurs. We decided to start cooperation, exchange experience and have already entered into official correspondence with the latter.

The CSCC analysis was highly appreciated by the ILO Strategy General Director and ILERA President. We are opening proposals for international publications. This is very important for promoting the image of Kazakhstan and increasing the investment attractiveness of Samruk-Kazyna on the international scene", - the head of the center said.

Sandugash Iskandirova told about the agenda of the congress and the most interesting world practices in the sphere of labor relations.

According to her, every fifth section of the "congress" was devoted to the trade unions. This fact emphasizes actual and important role of the organizations. Trade unions participate in the strategic development and management of companies in the US and Europe. Moreover, the unions "socialize" and become participants in almost any dialogue in the state. It is interesting that the very form of it differs from the one that exists in Kazakhstan.

“The head of the trade union in our country is usually a person of pre-retirement age who was the chief engineer for 35 years and knows the manufacture thoroughly. In common, he does not have the competence of HR, negotiations and communications skills. Moreover, he cannot explain employees their rights in some cases.

In this regard, the experience of Western European countries is very interesting. In these countries, the role of the trade union can be performed by a hired organization - so functions are transferred to outsourcing. In the classic form, this team consist of 40 people for 6,000 employees of the company. A company recruits professionals of different departments: research, personnel development, communications and SMM, labor legislation. I was surprised about the fact that five people of the team are professional communicators," - she explained.

Being an independent platform and an expertise center for the introduction of the best practice of social and labor relations in the Samruk-Kazyna group of companies, the CSCC plans to disseminate knowledge gained in Korea.
